Tekken (Japanese: 鉄拳 てっけん ; ‘Iron Fist’) is a Japanese media franchise centred on a series of fighting games developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco). The franchise also includes film and print adaptations. A retro video game has become an unlikely source of national pride in Pakistan, where a thriving arcade culture encourages collaboration – and produces some of the strongest Tekken players in the world as a result. However, these very challenges may have laid the foundation for Pakistani players’ success.
