Which Elden Ring DLC is the best?
FromSoftware says Shadow of the Erdtree is the only expansion Elden Ring will get, so it’s fortunate that it’s hard to imagine a better DLC than this – as long as you’re not hoping for it to do anything radically outside the box. Shadow of the Erdtree introduces its own self‑contained finale after its final boss, but the main game still offers only six endings. You will return to the base game after the DLC and make the same choices as before.
Why is Elden Ring rated so highly?
Elden Ring takes the fundamental DNA of those games — the sensitive mechanics, the creepy yet compelling aesthetic, and, yes, the difficulty — and suffuses it throughout a third-person open-world setting (in layman’s terms, that means you’re a little guy running around fighting enemies). Yes, Elden Ring is much more difficult than Skyrim. Thanks to skill-based combat and high damage from both player and enemy sides, combat in Elden Ring is a much more rigorous challenge.
