The characters are not LGBT. The game states as much, the developers state as much. They’re not a poor or intolerant representation of LGBT people because they’re not LGBT, full stop. The series games are usually set in a high school and focus on a group of students. The protagonist is usually silent, and the gamestypically explore characters’ psyches and senses of self. According to reviewer Troy Zaher (2014), there has been quite a bit of LGBTQ representation throughout the series.
Is Persona 4 scary?
Despite being Lighter and Softer than other Shin Megami Tensei games, Persona 4 still manages to have a lot of Nightmare Fuel, due to centering around a murder mystery in a quiet rural town. The horrific portrayal of the Shadow Selves in comparison to previous entries doesn’t help. Tired of seeing ads? Subscribe! Replaying Persona 4 might be the comfiest given how straightforward the dungeons and combat are, and considering I haven’t touched higher difficulties and found the game fairly easy, could be time to try a higher difficulty. Might even try the PS2 version for that atmosphere, I swear that version looks so much better.
Are Persona 4 and 5 connected?

Persona 3 portable or Persona 4 golden are great places to start. At this point I would go P4, then P5R, then the upcoming P3 remake. P5R is the best one that will get most people hooked and the best persona.
