How many Halo games are in the series?
You might be surprised to learn there are 13 Halo games in total. The game that almost single-handedly launched the Xbox, Halo is arguably the most important first-person shooter on consoles – although the series has been relatively dormant since 2021’s Halo Infinite. Halo 2 is by far the hardest. You have to memorize the positions of so many sniper jackals it’s insane. Not to mention every enemy has a super low time to kill you and there is boss fights. There’s some frustrating sections but it feels nice when you beat it.To say any Halo game is the worst might come across a little harsh as there aren’t any bad ones, but Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike take the last place slot in our eyes.If you’re new to Halo or new to shooters, Halo CE’s higher difficulties are definitely the first step to getting better at Halo as they are inherently more balanced than some of the later entries.

I would start with the original Xbox version and work through that trilogy. Reach and other titles from there. I would go through it in release order with Halo Combat Evolved first.
