Does the Origin app still exist?
EA’s Origin app will stop working as of April 17, 2025, you’ll need to switch to the EA app to continue accessing your EA library. EA took this decision due to Microsoft ending support for 32-bit apps within Windows 11, since Origin is a 32-bit app. EA Origin will shut down on April 17, 2025, as a result of Microsoft no longer supporting 32-bit software. Players that use Origin will need to download and install the EA app, available from EA’s website, which requires a 64-bit version of Windows.EA’s Origin app will stop working as of April 17, 2025, you’ll need to switch to the EA app to continue accessing your EA library.The EA App is designed to uninstall Origin, so if you want it on your computer for testing purposes, install it first, then Origin afterwards.If you rarely play EA games, this news might concern you: EA is discontinuing Origins on 17 April 2025. Instead, you will need the newer EA App launcher to continue using your games.If the games you play are fully supported through EA Desktop, then no need to use Origin as well. The real answer is Yes, if an older games need origin, the EA beta app won’t work, but will try and uninstall origin.
