A cohesive and engaging storyline, compelling characters and incredible visuals make Halo 4 one of the best games of the year. It’s a return to form for an amazing franchise that didn’t feel dull until it reinvented itself and made you realize how much more it could have been. Halo 4 was the best of storytelling in the franchise. First, the main campaign. Halo has always had the backdrop of whatever underlying conflict is going on, but the main anchor of the story has always had Cortana and John as the focal point. Halo 2 is by far the hardest. You have to memorize the positions of so many sniper jackals it’s insane. Not to mention every enemy has a super low time to kill you and there is boss fights. There’s some frustrating sections but it feels nice when you beat it. Normal is actually the difficulty I’d recommend most players play Halo 4 at. Not because Heroic or Legendary are super difficult, but for reasons I’ll elaborate on in those sections. Normal is still relatively easy but enemies put up slightly more of a fight.
