Generally speaking, Battlefield V is a good game. It’s got a lot of good things going for it: created by DICE, part of the Battlefield franchise, brand new triple-A first-person shooter, visually appealing/top-notch graphics, lots of content in the game, etc. While players can choose a male or female base soldier, these restrictions — combined with fixed voice lines — can break immersion in a game that aims for authentic combat scenarios. Customization should enhance, not reduce, that realism.
