Are there Pokémon games on PC?
Pokémon doesn’t officially release its games on PC. That being said, you can download emulators for PC and play the games by emulating it on your PC provided you own the game. However, with all of the fun, there is a small but VERY present risk of silently introducing malware on your machine because of them.
Why isn’t Pokémon on PC?
Pokemon was developed by Nintendo. Nintendo’s business interest is in selling not just their games, but their consoles too. They have determined it a better business move to keep their creation exclusive to their game platforms. The boss of The Pokémon Company believes the series can last for at least another 50 years if it continues to innovate. First launched on Nintendo’s Game Boy in 1996, the video game has expanded into films, TV and toys to become one of the world’s highest-grossing media franchise. On March 28, 2024, the Pokémon TV app will sunset, and the service will end. Beginning January 8, 2024, fans will no longer be able to download the Pokémon TV app, which has been removed from the Nintendo eShop and various other platforms.
