A solid return to its roots, Call of Duty WWII reminds us what made us all fall in love Call of Duty in the first place. It ticks all the boxes which is both a blessing and a curse. Good fun and worth your time but offers nothing exceptional. WWII brought the series back down to earth, and it was a massively refreshing experience back in the day. The thing is though, COD: WWII still holds up. This was the first Call of Duty game to get Xbox One X support, which means it runs at 4K / 60FPS on Xbox Series X as well.The whole advertising behind it was “CODs going back to WW2! They tried to hype it up like it was the next big thing, and it flopped because it was so underwhelming.
