What is Half-Life 1 even about?
The player assumes the role of Gordon Freeman, a scientist who must escape from the Black Mesa Research Facility after it is overrun by alien creatures following a disastrous scientific experiment. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration and puzzles. Following the defeat of the Nihilanth on Xen and destruction of the Black Mesa Research Facility on Earth, the G-Man had placed the actual Gordon Freeman, as well as Adrian Shephard, into stasis.
Is Half-Life 2 18+?
The violence isn’t over the top but the game still contains enough blood and gore to warrant the M for Mature rating. The game is a shooter so you need to do everything possible to defeat the enemy, the fight scenes can be quite emotional as you may be in danger. This game is rated PEGI 18 or Mature 17 + but it’s safe for ages 16 + because the combat is bloody but there is no gore or injury as well as strong language.
What exactly is half-life?
Half-life (symbol t½) is the time required for a quantity (of substance) to reduce to half of its initial value. The term is commonly used in nuclear physics to describe how quickly unstable atoms undergo radioactive decay or how long stable atoms survive. A drug’s half-life is an estimation of the time it takes for the drug’s initial concentration in the body to decrease by half. For example, if a drug’s half-life is 4 hours and the initial concentration is 100 mg, it’s estimated that 50 mg will remain after 4 hours.
Are Half-Life 1 and 2 connected?
