Why is Plague Tale Requiem so good?
Requiem is more open ended, which means that the player has more options when it comes to navigating a particular level. Of course, it also means that guards can attack the player from numerous directions. Whereas, Innocence was more straight forward in its level design. Here is the thing with Requiem. Designed for long-time fans and newcomers alike, you can experience the full story of Requiem without needing to play A Plague Tale: Innocence. A Plague Tale: Innocence tells a story inspired by the true events that took place in Europe during the Black Death.A Plague Tale: Innocence tells a story inspired by the true events that took place in Europe during the Black Death.Bubonic plague is an infection spread mostly to humans by infected fleas that travel on rodents. Called the Black Death, it killed millions of Europeans during the Middle Ages.Knowing that A Plague Tale would be set in 13th century France, during the Black Death, and have supernatural elements thus made me very intrigued with this title.
Is a plague tale hard to play?
Those actions can never be undone, and what was lost can never be regained. In that, A Plague Tale: Requiem is a hard game to play. Having now finished it, I don’t know that I have it inside of me to go through it again. And, it’s a game that I cannot recommend to anyone who has yet to play A Plague Tale: Innocence. My pick would decidedly be A Plague Tale: Innocence, for its plot, characters and overall atmosphere, which I personally feel are most important aspects for a hyper-narrative game like that or its younger sibling.
What illness does Hugo have in A Plague Tale?
The story centres on Amicia de Rune and her younger brother, Hugo. Hugo has a hereditary illness connected to a familial trait (‘Prima Macula’) and has lived in quasi-isolation while in treatment. Amidst a plague outbreak, Hugo is targeted by a fictionalized Inquisition. As a five-year-old boy, Hugo is very small with a build typical of a boy of that age: very slim, with his limbs and head not fully proportioned. His hair is long, brown and disheveled. Hugo’s clothing changes three times throughout the story.
