As of July 6, 2023 we’ve brought the Evolve servers completely down for the final time and the game is no longer playable. Evolve Stage 2 is a next-generation free multiplayer shooter featuring addictive 4v1 gameplay.So there are two versions of Evolve that are currently playable. Stage 2 is the default, but this has different balancing that was implemented after the game went free-to-play.No. EVOLVE this version has been removed from steam. Is Evolve a good game?

The game was released on February 10, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.Turtle Rock Studios once had big plans for a sequel to Evolve, the asymmetrical multiplayer shooter—but the project was scrapped before it ever saw the light of day.Evolve is a true next-generation multiplayer shooter game featuring addictive adrenaline-pumping 4v1 action. One player-controlled Monster must evade and outsmart a team of four uniquely skilled playable Hunters. Why can’t I play Evolve anymore?

Evolve is an action video game with a focus on both co-operative, and competitive, multiplayer gameplay. The game adapts a ‘4v1’ asymmetrical structure where four players take control of the Hunters, while the fifth player controls the Monster.Evolve: Stage 2 added six new Hunter and Monster variants as well as three map adaptions.Evolve offers an excellent mix of competitive and cooperative gameplay but it is buried behind a muddled progression system and lengthy matchmaking / loading times.
Can I still play Evolve offline?
In offline mode you will still have access to ALL game modes and maps. You can set up custom games & change your own settings or just jump in with quick play. I admit, offline isn’t as fun as playing online but with how cheap Evolve is now in days, it’s still a good game for the price. Thank you for your feedback!
