Project Rene was first shown off in October 2022 As the next iteration of the Sims, Showing off new customisation tools ( Colour Wheels, Patterns, Details) Being able to play with a friend and the game being able to run on both PC & Phones with crossplay. Project Rene was never cancelled, because it was never The Sims 5. EA cleared that up ages ago. Project Rene was never The Sims 5. The fact that this is still a rumor circulating around is ridiculous.
