Because lego has left warner brothers and is now over at universal , there probably won’t be a lego batman sequel, unfortunately. I am so sorry to say that but i don’t think they’ll be making a lego batman 2. Dan (harmon) and (michael) waldron had done a first draft of the script that was really great. After the critical and commercial success of the lego batman movie, warner bros. Chris mckay would have returned to direct lego batman 2, but the project was cancelled when lego ended its partnership with warner bros. Universal instead.Why It Was Cancelled. Although The Lego Batman Movie received positive reviews from critics and audiences and was successful at the box office, both The Lego Ninjago Movie and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part underperformed at the box office, causing Warner Bros.
