Why does Steam not ban Spacewar?
Spacewar is a legitimate game and the reason you dont get banned for it is that the pirated game doesnt actually use up any of your steam data, it only requires a gateway to connect to steam and Space war is basically the chaperone for it. So who knows what Spacewar is on Steam? According to this article, it is used to inject certain pirate games, into Steam for playability or features provided by the Steam platform. Spacewar is a Trojan horse that pirated games use to get onto Steam. It’s quite a neat little scam.This is false, Steam has never banned for downloading a pirated game. This would require to them to analyze your files and your traffic (If you are using Spacewar that means you are using Steamworks for Steam netcode) and this is a huge no no for a big company like Valve.Thousands of people are playing this game called ‘Spacewar’, which is mostly used for game piracy. It abuses the steamworks API, in order to play multplayer with LEGIT steam players. Is Steam aware of this? It’s Steam, they’re aware.
