Has The Forest 2 come out?
When is Sons of the Forest coming out? October 2022! We know that’s a little longer than you would have liked, but all fans eager to play this entirely new experience from the makers of the ‘The Forest’ don’t have to wait too much longer. Fingers crossed Endnight Games don’t suffer another delay. The sound of the forest, the sound of the wind, the look of the forest, the cannibals, villages, caves, etc. It all had a creepier feel to it. Don’t get me wrong, Sons of the Forest is a great technical achievement, but from the atmosphere, the Forest just nailed it.The first game is a fully fleshed-out experience, and, overall, really good. Sons of the Forest is gonna need a while in early access before it’s up to par with the first game, so I’d play The Forest first.
Is The Forest 3 confirmed?
Sequel. A sequel, Forest 3, was announced in December 2025. But then I started looking into it and realized that this was Endnight games, so Forest 1 and Forest 2 are actually The Forest and Sons of the Forest. The crash landing plotline mirrors the plane crash intro of the first game, but otherwise? I love how much of a departure Forest 3 is from what came before.
