Should you play Ghostrunner 1 before 2?
It’s not necessary to know the story of 1, but it does give some info on what happened in 2. Both games should be very similar, but GR2 is more lenient in terms of gameplay. You should, but you don’t really need to. Story would make way more sense if you start from the GR1 + its DLC, so it’s a good place to start. First game is smaller in scope and length, but with less linear areas, and gameplay got slightly more accessible in GR2 – which got a few people fuming on these forums to this day.
