Why is Rumble banned?
US-based Rumble, popular with conservative and far-right voices, was banned by Brazil’s supreme court last year after it refused to block a Brazilian user living in the US who was accused of spreading disinformation. On February 21, 2025, Moraes ordered the suspension of Rumble for intentionally refusing to comply with court orders, including refusing to remove the account of Brazilian fugitive Allan dos Santos.
