This game is a worthy successor to the franchise, the combats are challenging and frenetic and the soundtrack is spectacular. In my opinion it is the best game in all of Bayonetta. You don’t have to play either of the two first games, they went with a multiverse story telling this time around. I would say that Bayonetta 2 isn’t vital to the story in three, but it is the best out of the three in my opinion.Bayonetta 1 may have a superior battle system, but it’s also full of little annoyances which sour the overall experience. Bayonetta 2 is a way more streamlined title with a ton of quality-of-life improvements, but as a trade-off, your options are more limited when it comes to playing around with the enemies.
