Still, jamboree is a slam-dunk pick as the best mario party, and next to super mario kart, it’s a great holiday gift for a family who has a switch or is just getting one. Just don’t expect a whole new mario party experience. It’s more of the same, with a bundle of extras. For beginners, casuals, and elderly, super mario party has been pretty solid. The motion controls allowed my grandmother to play by shaking to the beat without needing to pay attention to buttons. Jamboree is in the same vein. Both super games have co-op modes which is easier for casuals.I am overjoyed to say that Jamboree is not only a worthy entry in the Mario Party franchise, but it manages to be one of the best, alongside the likes of Mario Party 2. There is plenty on offer, for both those with or without friends and family to play with, for all skills ranges and play styles.Looking at all the content as a whole, Jamboree is 100% better. But when it comes to the minigames specifically, I prefer Superstars. They remember when one player stole a star from another, and they go into the game with plans of how to steal from their friends. Mario Party DS is deceptively difficult.
