Fire Emblem Engage said ‘this one is for you gays’ because, unlike in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, players are able to romance whoever they like (barring minors and a few other platonic options), regardless of what form they pick. It is easy to see that there are more examples of LGBTQ representation within the newer games, and the remakes of older games are included. In a recent remake of the second Fire Emblem game, the character Leon was completely changed and is now openly gay.
Can you have kids in Fire Emblem?
Almost every male character has a kid they get if they reach S support with a female character. Kids are tied to the fathers, yeah, except for Azura’s kid and Corrin’s kid. The children will have their mother’s hair color, except for Azura’s kid, whose hair color is always the same (like Lucina). The pairing is only possible in canon if Corrin is male, though female Corrin x Azura is quite popular as well. There is some discourse surrounding the pairing as in the Revelation route of the Fates it is eventually revealed that Azura’s mother, Arete, was a sister of Mikoto, making Azura and Corrin cousins.Same-sex Marriage If male, Corrin is able to form a bond with the male character Niles, and if female, Corrin can get an S-Rank with the female character Rhajat. However, if this happens, the player will be unable to recruit the children that would have resulted from a regular S-Rank Support (Kana and Nina).
