Can I play Lord of the Rings on PC?
The Lord of the Rings Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows and previously for OS X, set in J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, taking place during the time period of The Lord of the Rings. The official game servers for The Battle for Middle-earth were permanently closed on December 31, 2010 by EA Games, due to the expiration of The Lord of the Rings video game license, however the players can still play it online using unofficial game servers.The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War will no longer be playable after the servers go offline.
